Got it. Ok I did what you said and ran a new save for about a half hour. The game never crashed but it did freeze several times (rainbow wheels and a couple of black screens), becoming progressively slower as time went on. I've attached a copy of the DeviceConfig.log As the game didn't crash, I won't be able to upload a crash report, but I've pasted some of the text from the crash report the last time my game crashed below.

    @attil00  When you notice the game getting slower, before it crashes (or even if it doesn't crash), please open the Activity Monitor, in Applications > Utilities, and click the Memory tab.  Double-click on the Sims 3 icon to get an additional pop-up window.  Please take a couple of screenshots of these two windows at different points and upload them to a post.  The screenshots should look something like this:

    You can black out your username in the rightmost column if you want, but the rest of the information in the window is useful.
