Yeah, NRaas has been really helpful. I think the problem is with some CAS packages, but I guess I'll see. I will definitely turn off my wifi, those in-game store notifications are unnecessary. Thanks again! Hopefully things will run smoothly from now on. (Of course! Cats should never go unnoticed—mine thinks I'm the bee's knees...when it's time for food.)
There is a way to get the Feature Items folder clean and it won't hurt your game. Make the file Read Only. It won't hurt your game, but it will make it run much more smoothly without having to clean that folder out all the time.
1) Open your Sims 3 folder.
2) Locate the Featureditems folder and right click on it.
3) Choose the option of Get Info.
4) Change all the Sharing & Permissions to Read Only (this is found at the bottom).
Mine is set to Read Only and it saves me a great deal of hassle when playing the game.
