Re: Project Rene - Spec Reqs?

@Neuroli considering PR are far away to come out, we can make only speculation about it, but is not surprising, if for the minimum requirments, it request at least a 2070, an i5 or i7 10th gen, and at least 8gb or ram, thats my toughts.

    Hey Kaze,

Hopefully it can potentially run at very low specifications. (Thinking of Intel Integrated Graphics)

Most games require at least 8GB of RAM so no surprises there. Hopefully it's not going to require a ton of processing power. Maybe like 2.5GHz to 3.0GHz at the minimum.

Thanks for replying and have a great weekend! 🙂

  • Honestly, i hope not, low spec mean low content, and quality, and not only in graphical way, but even for IA and the game world itself, so, sad for the people have a old low spec pc, but it's time to upgrade, i do it, not much month ago, with sacrifice of course, and talking for me, and for everyone with high end pc, we are upset if at the release, we have cut content, like an "opend district/map/world" and more, because people don't want upgrade their machine, and whine because they still want to play, it's calling ruin the fun for everyone at my home.

    Hey Kaze,

Not necessarily. A low spec option for low-end users doesn't mean the entire game is low-spec focused. It could just mean different settings based on different devices. I thought I also heard somewhere that they were even looking to have a mobile port for Project Rene/The Sims 5.

Not everyone can afford a high-end computer. Every country has a different type of economy and for some countries, it would require a high paying job to be able to afford a gaming computer.

Like I said, The Sims 5 could still offer an open-world setting like The Sims 3 but it'd be a configurable option rather than an ingrained option.

  • Dude, it's literally impossible made a low spec option for low end users, have a low spec machine, so low graphic card, low tier CPU, not much ram, etc. mean the machine can't handle the game, specially if you have low budget CPU and low budget ram, and why is simple, low tier components can't handle and can't process the same quantity of information, and even the less process they do, they do it slower comaperd to high end PC, so pretend to have a game able to work on low spec PC, means having important feature removed from the game, and well, that sucks, i obviusly know different country have different economy (i'm from italy, living in a city who risk one day yes and one day no, to become a ghost town, because the most important industry of the city, the one who litterally move the economy of the city, is with one foot on the grave so), and for the possible cross play with smartphone, until future news this is a rumor but, seems the cross play is only for the building mode.
