  • Thanks for the reply! But to answer your question, no, nothing was changed and no cheats were used.

Also, thank you for the link. For some reason I couldn't find that thread. I'm starting to think I'm just having an issue with time in my game. I'll start a new thread for this issue, but for some reason, my game actually went back two hours in the past. I've never had that happen before. As I said, I'll ask about that somewhere else, but it was just something to note.

  • No mods and no custom content. When I click on the table, I'm asked which suspect to interrogate. I click on a suspect and the action bubble doesn't even appear. It's as if I didn't ask my Sim to do anything.

I doubt anything will end up fixing all of the problems I have, so I just ended up doing a clean install of my game. Hopefully this ends up working, but I doubt all of the issues will go away.

    Thanks for the referrals!

Did you actually arrest a Sim or are you trying to interrogate the ones in the cells ?

Just to add, because I had to clarify this on another forum as well, I issued the APD and arrested him and brought him to the station. He wasn't in the jail cell and it wasn't a suspect already in the jail cell. The suspect showed up as an option to interrogate, but after clicking on him, the action bubble failed to appear. As I said, this is the default police station. I've changed nothing about it, so it's not a routing issue. My officer can sit at the table but not actually use it. The officer can also interact with the suspect (taking fingerprints, etc.) so that's not the problem either.

Did you also try the next day ? Could you quit your job and rejoin or have another Sim join the detective career to see if it's Sim related (just for testing purposes) ?

  • The next day the same thing ended up happening. When I restarted the career, it happened again. I haven't tried yet on another save, but my hopes aren't high.

I'm having that same problem now. I've tried everthing. Recoloring thee table, quitting the job and getting it again. Reparing the game, clean install, I even used the career cheat to promote my sim to see if it would trigger interrogation. I'm not using mods and I've tried with both saved games and new games. What did people find to solve this problem?

Did you try moving the Sim out and back in via edit town ?

Could you try with a different Sim to find out if it's related to the Sim or the police station ?

I've already tried different sims and I've even installed a different police station.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I have the same problem. I don't know if it was the there from the start - because I didn't try until I arrested someone. I did however change ut the station - but I kept all the interactive objects out of it (moved them upstairs while I worked downstairs), so it would be strange if that effected it.
Also, I've tried to use the testing cheat and right click to get the debug interregate event, but the same (nothing) happens.

    Hi,
I actually figured it out. I just deleted the interrogation table that was there and put in a new table and it has worked ever since. I received several messages that if the table is not in the original color it will create this error.
