Fireleaf not showing up, only Poisonous Fireleaf spawning

The main issue is probably that the lots don't really advance plants if you're not on them so how long have you been in Granite Falls ? It might just not be ready.

^this maybe the issue not staying on the lot long enough for the plant to grow i didn't want to hang around for the plant to develop so i used a buy debug cheat on the home lot to get it

On the official forum, this seems to be a problem, but someone suggested the removing wild plants option from a couple of the poison fireleaf plants and seeing if a normal grows back in it's place.  I will try this as soon as I can.  It still doesn't explain as to why there is a normal fireleaf behind the restrooms at the welcome center when entering the woods that has to be taken care of by your active Sim.  This is unlike all the other wild plants.

I have tried the removing wild plants method on the poisonous fireleaf plants, and some normal ones did grow back in their place in my game.  It did take around a day or two of being on the same map as the plants.  I'm not sure why they don't grow in the first place, but it would be nice if they did.
