Re: [WORKAROUND] Sims uploaded to the gallery wrongly marked as modded

You're not the only one having issues.

If you can save to the gallery now, can you try the following

  • Save your Sim to your library from the game. It will probably be marked as containing cc
  • Close your game and start a new one
  • Load the Sim from the library
  • Reupload through CAS again.

Does it still show as containing custom content when you do it that way ?

If above solution doesn't help, please try this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/WORKAROUND-Sims-uploaded-to-the-gallery-wrongly-marked-as-modded/m-p/7102223#M73674

I have troubles understanding you as you don't use any dots in your sentences and english is not my mother tongue but this is just so you can save your Sims to the gallery not showing as modded. You can leave them like they are in the game.

It will not affect your gameplay.

  • Well yes i can leave them as that but im still wondering if theres a way to change it back to normal and yes im typing text speak so im not using periods but yes i can save them now but i would like to know a way to get ride of cc even in the game without have to replace the sims and get ride of thete relationships money etc.

You should not have any cc in your game. They are wrongly flagged, that's all.

  • Yes i know its a bug/glitch in the new update like tge spicy food glitch it makes me angry that 4 EA employees couldnt figure it out im talking to a manager tomorrow i wasted 3-4 hours trying to get it fixed to learn it was simple they couldnt even say if it was a bug it would nice if they compensated me for their lack of understanding and lack of help along with wasting my time but thx for the help

I would say ur comment was half a solution but again thx i think the true solution will have to be a patch by EA

I've seen a few post about it. I've tested myself but since my game wasn't a clean setup but just a mod-removal test, I don't count it genuine.

I wanted to test on a vanilla setup tomorrow (not sure how much time I'll have though)

I would assume it's not working as intended atm but I don't know what's triggering it.

Mind you, I don't work for EA so, this is nothing official.

  • It think its a bug from what ive seen talking to ea support a new person said hes been seeing it as well and thinks its a bug but said they have no real control over the gallery i know it doesnt effect gameplay having my sims have cc in the game but its very annoying have to save them then start a new game to save it ti gallery without cc

    @Hoskins_Origin

I moved this to bug reporting.

I'm changing your title a bit as the gallery is now saving for you and the flagged as cc is your issue.

I'm adding it to the list tomorrow.

@emjae19 Merged your post into this as well

@Hoskins_Origin There's nothing in the save game. You needed to start a fresh game cause the bug (let's call it that) only seems to occur when you export a Sim through an existing game, not if you use a new one, that's why the workaround is helping with it.

I'm pretty sure that if you started a new game, played that for a while and uploaded a Sim from there, it would also occur but that's still to be determined through more tests.

This workaround is very effective but I am wondering about the cause and will it be fixed?
Within the past two weeks I uploaded a residential lot, a room and a couple of households.
The lots / rooms do not seem to show the Wrench / Custom Content icon.
One was a Single Sim household of a game created Sim I restyled and uploaded for me to play later.
The other household has five Sims of mine that I have been playing for a while.
Valeda has been earned all the traits except a few job related ones. She started as a single Sim of my creation.
    The rest have been Born-In-Game.
    Valeda Tivona Triplets G6

My game includes all the available EPs / SPs / GPs and am patched to date.
There are Zero Mods and Zero CC (never have been) in my game.
It is frustrating enough to have to take extra steps to upload Sims whn you know what to do.
But what about those who cannot figure out what happened.

There will be a blog post when it's not fixed in the next patch.

Pretty sure EA is aware of this but I don't know when it will be fixed.

    Hey @crinrict

Thanks for directing me to the workaround, it works wonders! Hope they get it fixed soon though as the CC symbol doesn't even seem to be working at all since uploads which are obviously CC-ed do not even have the symbol. So I guess it's effectively redundant at this stage.

    Thanks again though! 😃

    Happy Simmin!
