I am also having this problem, Hope they fix it soon.

Samsung Galaxy M21 (Android/Version 10)
Playing in this phone for 3 months
- Force Stopped the app. Closed everything and started again.
- Restarted the phone
- Reinstalled App (Twice)
- Once continue old game options is selected, the app crashes.
- Tried a different device
- Oppo R9 (Android), Played over a year on this device.
- Tried a different WiFi Network
