Re: [ARCHIVED] Problems with Lighting in TS4

@EricaNovember I was able to duplicate your issue in my game.  It appears that interior light shining outside is affecting the gate much more strongly than the fence (if it is affecting the fence at all - it doesn't appear to).  Here is my setup:

If I move the gate to the right, away from the windows, the lighting on it changes.  Note that it still doesn't match the rest of the fence in color though; it is slightly darker:

If I move the gate back but delete the nearest window, again, the gate is no longer brightly lit:

Now, logically speaking, the lighting effects on the gate actually make some sense, in that you would expect exterior structures to be affected by interior light flowing out so strongly, like in the first picture (although we have already noted that it's really too much light and too bright, as a separate issue).  To me, it actually looks like lighting on the fence ought to be adjusted, and the fence itself should be shaded from lighter to darker as it stretches away from the window(s).  However, I'm guessing that the devs probably don't want to put resources into doing that, so the quicker fix would be to change the lighting on the gate.  I also want to note that it's not just the picket fence gate that is affected; any gate will display the same disparity in lighting.  I will add this issue to our list.
