did you specify to sort through the right aspect ratios when choosing your resolution?

Yes, aspect ratio is 16:10. If I choose 16:9 it only goes up to 1920x1080.

Ok that was weird. I restarted everything again and this time 2560x1440 showed up under 16:9.
