There has been some improvement!
Now when I'm placing floors I'm getting zero lag; however, I can't say the same for walls. When placing wallpaper I'm still experiencing some lag, its not nearly as severe as before, but its still there for walls at least. They may need to continue doing some tweaks on it. I'm still lagging when attempting to put up friezes as well.
I still have issues with walls. (nevr had much issue with floors anyway) It is a bit better, i can easily scroll through the wall paint tab while having one selcted now. It was severy lagging before. Had to hit esc first and then scroll. But actually painting walls is still laggy so is edge scrolling with a wall paint selected when the lot is in your view. if the camera pans away from the curent lot the lag goes away. Again the more complex the lot the worse it is.
UPDATE: I noticed something extremely weird when placing paint. It highlights objects they are "blocking it" and if you eventually place the paint, it does send random stuff to the household inventory. Also even though i was not holding shift, it displayed the orice for painting the entire room
