Re: [ARCHIVED] Objects combust into fire

Today on Oct 14th, 2024 I've had two house fires now in the same sim day and both seemingly random and in the weirdest places. First time was on the BFF Super-Duper Friendship Kit object that lets you make friendship bracelets from Growing Together EP. I didn't get a screenshot of that time though. Second time, just now, was on a Campanulate Ceiling Lamp. First time I didnt think too much of it cause its an object, but didnt even know ceiling lights could catch fire. I did get a screenshot of that one. I'm not sure what could be causing it, but I'm not currently using any mods and I havent been for quite a while. Game is currently updated to the newest update, game version 1.109.207.1020.

  • No, if that has anything to do with Sims 4 For Rent, I do not own that pack as of yet. I can't really confirm, but I'm thinking the issue wound up being the temperature outside my sims house being somehow too hot despite it saying it wasn't scorching heat and I had my radiators set to sync with my thermostat which was set to warmer. I haven't tried to see if the same issue would occur if I had the same circumstances again, but I didn't expect the ceiling light to catch fire even if that was the reason the fires were happening, just after I turned the thermostat off the fires seemed to quit happening and only fire I've had since then I believe was just the dryer catching fire as they do sometimes.
