I had something similar happen in my game, but I found a workaround. I often play university in generations, aka wait until I have eight teens ready to go to the university, then they move in together as an eight-person household and enroll. This time I was even smart enough to enroll Foxbury sims (5) a day earlier than UBrite sims 🏀, so I could attend all the graduation ceremonies.At the Foxbury graduation I ran into the following problem: there were five played sims of mine present, all graduating and enthusing before entering. And then there were non-played sims that the game always spawns to make sure no sim graduates alone. The problem seems to be that with five played sims, the game spawned too many of these extra sims, resulting into 14 sims about to graduate.Which seemed to result into the graduation building becoming 'full', and leaving two of my played sims outside with 'can't route to it' complaint thought bubble when told to attend graduation. When the lucky few who did manage to get in appeared again to throw the caps, the ones outside did that too, so at least the hats were not stuck. The graduation photos however appeared only in the inventories of those who were inside the building. So I loaded and tried again. This time even worse luck, only two of my played sims managed to get into the building before it filled up. So this time I did Reset Object on the graduation building, which popped out all the sims, played and unplayed. Then I quickly told my played sims to attend graduation and all of them managed to be in the crowd that got into the building, and after a while they all appeared to throw their hats and with the graduation photographs in their inventory.This is of course just a workaround on what to do if there's too many non-played sims filling up the graduation building, and the real fix would be a check-up on how many sims there'll be in total, instead of spawning 1-2 per played sim, which is what seems to be happening now. Or removing usage-limit from the buildings.The diplomas of course arrived at 6pm in magical mail, aka message pop-up and just appearing in the inventory, diplomas have never had anything to do with the graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony is important only for the graduation photos.

This issue has plagued me for some time. Today I finally discovered a process that produced graduation photos for my six people who were graduating together. First, I shift-clicked on the graduation building and selected Reset Object. Then, with each sim selected in turn, I clicked on the same building and chose Attend Graduation Ceremony. Finally, after many attempts trying other strategies, they all attended and received their graduation photos.

So it was one household, no one was an NPC. The first sim's graduation was at 10:14am and the second sim's graduation was at 10:34am. After following the first sim to the graduation (he was talking to npcs and attend graduation was not selected), I went to the second sim at 10:30am. I waited for the graduation pop up and went to that graduation ceremony (attend graduation was selected several times). It took 4 hours for the selected sim to attend the graduation and she spent several more hours inside the graduation ceremony. After the selected sim graduated her cap was gone and I sent her home. Then I switched to the other graduating sim and his cap gone and I sent him home. However, he was the only one to receive a diploma.

@boomyjo But both show as graduated properly afterwards ? It's just about the diploma/pic ?

@crinrict...I found the diplomas in the household inventory when we moved into a new house. However, there are no grad pics. But, I will try to recreate it.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Visit PC house after the time period where they should have graduated
What happens when the bug occurs? Angela and Lilith Pleasant do not finish graduation. The course has ended and final report card confirmed but no diploma is received and no ceremony. As a result they cannot find jobs relating to their diploma at the higher level
What do you expect to see? after a day or two, a diploma to appear in the inventory and/or option to attend graduation

Its been 2 in-game weeks, i have restarted the game, moved them out, force reset them. Nothing triggers the graduation/diploma.

Could you please enter your base game version ? Th one you entered is from an EP. Just to make sure you are at the current patch level

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? finish 2 weeks in the university then attend graduation and leave with a portrait only
What happens when the bug occurs? my sim cannot enroll in any university because it didn't graduate/get a diploma from its last degree and when i force it with cheats, homework and presentation board won't even appear in the inventory. it shows on the career tab 'class schedule' 'this sim has graduated. no more terms to attend'
What do you expect to see? my sim being able to get its diploma and re-enroll

@mailman619 Did you play the Sim at the time of the graduation ? Are there multiple Unis Sims in your household ?
