Re: Titanfall 2 WILL NOT install due to Directx error with xactengine2_1.dll

In clean boot, I tried two things: run Origin as admin and try to install game, and it gave me a general Directx error and cancelled the install. I rebooted in clean boot again this time tried manually running the dxsetup.exe as admin and it gave me the same xactengine2_1.dll error again. So no luck with either of those.

Thank you for reporting back. Have you tried to install any other game from Origin? Restarted your router? 

Other games on Origin will install just fine (Mirror's Edge Catalyst for example). I restarted my router and that didn't change anything.

Try this, solution was disabling AntiVirus when installing game. Have you tried it ?

The only AV I currently use is Windows Defender. Disabling it and trying installation through Origin or manual installation of the dxsetup.exe file still give me the same errors.

Can you try to turn on Download in Safe Mode option in Origin client settings? It might resolve this.
