It really isn’t that surprising though is it,as it happens in all EA sports games.
Ive been complaining since fifa 17 about offline button delay & yes I play with wired connection & wired controller.
I have the same issues with UFC 3, 4 & even fight night. EA SPORTS....ITS IN THE GAME!

Community ManagerWe can go through some connection troubleshooting and try to find out why this is happening. Have you checked your TV to see if there's a game mode option?
As I said,I play OFFLINE only. Do not play ultimate team or ultimate fighter on either FIFA or ufc. I play with wired controller & if I do have the Xbox connected I use wired Ethernet but once again I play no online modes.
My tv IS set to game mode.
Ive hard reset my Xbox one too many times to remember with no resolution to button delay that I only ever get in EA Fifa & UFC games.
Every other game I own has had no issues JUST EA titles.
This is not a new issue. It dates back to Fifa 17 , all UFC GAMES & even in fight night champions!
Each time I contact EA for assistance I get told to check my tv (It’s in game mode),check my connection (I play OFFLINE), Reset your Xbox (I have) then nothing my case gets closed with no resolution. It is a problem on EA’s side yet nothing ever gets done about it. I’ve been a loyal EA customer since 1993! And sadly I will no longer be a EA customer in the future as I don’t feel valued & am appalled by the poor quality & broken games EA release.
Fifa 21 was updated in November & now it is not the same game I purchased in October! It is unplayable , broken by EA & us LOYAL customers just have to put up with it!
No doubt this will be brushed under the carpet or removed but I suggest unless EA want to lose more loyal customers then they need to start listening to the customers. I’ve still not had a reply to a query I made in October about "Restart match stamina issue"! We just get ignored.
