I have been, but I removed the mods when I went back to an older save to try again.  I could start a new game without mods, and test it out as well.  When I looked back on their degrees in a later save, I noticed that ALL of the Foxbury degrees that they got after going to Britechester, all show up as Britechester diplomas.  But in their Simology screens, the degrees show With Distinction and With Honors, so the game knows that they went to Foxbury.

I will start a game without any mods installed, and have a Sim get a degree first at Britechester, then at Foxbury, and will let you know what happens.  It will take a while, though; getting multiple degrees does take a little while.  🙂

All right, it took me a while to test this, especially with no mods (boy, are Sims annoying without mods!  Please, Sims, stop running to the sink to drink water!  Had to not have them on Free Will the entire time to get rid of many annoyances) but I'm finally done.  Here was my setup:

    1) I made 2 Sims, one a spellcaster, one not.  I decided to test both types, just to make sure that the bug wasn't spellcaster related, as my two previous Sims were both spellcasters.

    2) I got them maxed in almost every skill, most particularly every base game skill.  This took a while.  Why did I do that?  Because I wanted to make sure they were eligible for every With Distinction degree, to test it with them getting only those, since that's what my other two Sims had done.  That means that this bug might not occur if you're getting regular degrees, which I never do, because I'm OCD that way.  Someone else might want to test that; that absolutely doesn't matter to me.

    3) I earned them (almost) every reward trait that stops motive decay, except for Forever Full, before I had them start University. (I like having my Sims cook and eat; I like the buff they get from eating gourmet food.  But the other needs are just boring to deal with.)

    4) They got three degrees each: First one at Foxbury (in my case, Computer Science), second one at Britechester (Culinary Arts), third one at Foxbury (Physics).

    5) They got A+ grades in every class in every term in each degree.  While it's a bit of a challenge to do this, it's not impossible; just make sure you don't enroll until at least Monday, then you'll have the weekend to work on at least your MWF classes.  Then prioritize your T/Thurs classes before the weekend, high-prioritizing any presentations you have to make.

Result?  The second Foxbury degree - their third actual degree - shows that it's from Britechester.  It says Magna, so it's the With Distinction diploma, but it reads Britechester, and has a brown frame.  This is without mods, although I did use a few cheat codes on occasion.  (Well, I don't like POOR Sims, and I wanted them in a big house, so....)

Another note is that I learned after the first time I ever had a Sim go to University, to have them do it from home and not the dorms.  There is absolutely no advantage to having them in the dorms, and in fact there are many disadvantages.  Therefore both of these two were living at home, which shouldn't, of course, make any difference whatsoever.  But thought I should mention it.

If you need any further details of what was tested, just ask.  But it IS a bug, because this has now happened without any mods installed in my game.  Which I am now about to reinstall, because SO MANY ANNOYANCES in the game without them!  😛

@crinrict: Just a note (I couldn't edit my post): They DID graduate at Foxbury, they WERE in the red Foxbury robes, and the degree in their Simology DOES say Foxbury (With Honors and has the yellow outline for With Distinction). It's just the diploma that is incorrect. Which may not seem like a huge deal for some, but it's killing me. 😛

@crinrict Just wondering - is this going to be considered an official bug? Or do you feel that it would need more people encountering it? If you think about it, not very many people are going to want to do multiple degrees on a single Sim, like I tend to do. Most people are just going to get a single degree, so they'll never encounter this bug. That doesn't mean it's not a bug, it just means that not too many people are ever going to see it.

@MiaSkywalker1 Needs input doesn't qualify if it's a bug or not. It's just that more people chiming in and clicking me too can raise the chances that it gets fixed.

There's a lot of bugs that will never get fixed. It always depends how difficult it is to fixed/how many people are affected.
  • I am having this issue to, and I really hope that EA soon will get it fixed as I am so annyoed at this, that I am thinking of trying to get rid of all my degrees, and then take foxbury university first, as one suggested in another threat, and then Ubrit after as it will then show up correct, but I have no idear about how to do this, I just find it so annoying when I want to display the diplomas that they are wrong *SIGH*

almost 2 years later, I am having this same issue. Exact same as outlined in this test. I'm playing through a supersim challenge and want to be able to display all the hard work at the end. Super annoying to still have this bug in game
