I can't believe I'm starting to have the same problem that people had years ago.

Can we get some resolution to this please?

Also getting this problem since the newest update, makes the game completely unplayable :/

Same here...twice today had to restart Xbox due to this problem.

I have also noticed this problem on PS4 since the last update. It has happened on two occasions and both were when my sims were photographing. When I leave photo mode there is no cursor. The only thing that helps is to restart the entire game. 

I just tried going into first person view then going back to the regular camera it came back!

This is the same issue I am having...every time I photograph something my cursor disappears!  I have tried everything to get it back but so far the only thing that works is completely closing out of the game and restarting.  I never had this problem until the most recent update either and it is so frustrating!

HI! I’ve found a solution for this problem. When this occurs you need to try and click free cam mode at the top right screen, move around a bit than press circle ⭕️! It should reappear afterwards! Works for me every time! Good luck

I never thought of trying that, thanks for the suggestion! My cursor has been obediently visible lately but I'll keep that in mind if it happens again. 🙂

I finally figured out what’s happening with the cursor when taking a photo. when you go into your inventory or phone you’re using the cursor to get to it so when you go in to take the photo just make sure to leave the cursor on the middle of the screen or just anywhere but where you clicked to get to the camera because it will make the cursor stuck in the menu. it’s kind of hard to explain, i hope you understand lol i actually forgot to move the cursor to the middle of the screen and the cursor disappeared but then i went in to take a photo again but this time leaving the invisible cursor in the middle and it reappeared when i exited the camera. basically just make sure the cursor is visible before you take the photos. if you leave it selected on the camera it will be invisible

Same problem here. Looks like it may be simply invisible. But it's annoying as hell. Tried just about everything 

I was also photographing right before it happened. Also noticed the game starting to lag after taking photos 

I have the same issue after using the camera from my sims inventory, using the phone has not triggered it yet.

OMG Thank you! Your comment actually helped me! I think this may be the problem for a lot of the players. I used 'simstagram pet' and afterwards the cursor was gone, i just did the same thing, very carefully because i had no idea where the cursor was and the cursor was visible again. To make sure that it really was the issue i repeated it and the same thing happened. Took photo of cat - cursor disappeared, took photo again - cursor reappeared. I have no idea why taking a photo causes this and it really does need to be fixed because this isn't going to solve it for everyone. Thank you! 😃

I think I may have found a temporary solution, take another picture of someone and the curser will return

Same here. PS4, all expansions, cursor suddenly not visible mid game. Have to spend another 10 minutes rebooting the entire game, because hopping back to manage worlds does not fix it. 

My cursor is disappearing after I try to take a photo! The game still runs but I can't see where I am clicking. I have to restart the entire xbox which is very annoying 

I’ve been having this problem too, it happened to me

twice just now and I had to restart the game each time. It was a problem that they had before and fixed and looks like it’s back again. 

Same thing happens on PS4.

You don’t have to restart the whole console tho (which I found out a hard way lol), hold the right stick on controler to enter first person camera mode and then hold again to exit it and cursor should reappear.

OMG Thank you!!! I didn't think of this.  I pressed the buttons and analog stick down hard (as if that would do something, lol) and nothing worked but restarting the console.  I'll definitely try this later.   I've been saving any picture taking for when i'm done playing the game so i could just do one shut down.

I just wish the the travel crashing problem had an easy workaround too.

I literally just recently downloaded sims vampires today and that is when i began experiencing this problem on my xbox!! Never happened before and i have been playing the game for almost a year. I have to save the game and restart my whole darn console to get it back.

Almost 2020 and NO FIX. (Xb1x)

My cursor keeps disappearing after I use the camera in my sims phone and inventory. My only fix is shutting the entire game off and back on. 

I spent hundreds on these DLCs and y’all can’t fix this or the hugeeeee lag issues. It’s been years. 

Yall (EA) owe me a free expansion on the grounds your product isn’t working the way your marketing team said it would. Y’all don’t even try to fix these bugs before you’re pushing out the next DLC. I’d like the Island Living. THANKS. 🙄
