@midtwilightblue My poor Sim had it for months after fishing with her Mom behind the Willow Creek library (which, I would like to point out, is not the ocean... but is apparently wading). She would freak out at the sink, tiny fishbowls, etc.
I've "cured" three different Sims with a swim in the ocean. Cure discovered entirely by accident: "You don't have to swim, you can watch the toddler... why are you out by the diving buoy if you're afraid of the ocean?"
Good luck!

Thanks @xochiquetzl_xkvn for sharing your workaround. I think it may have cured my sim. Until I read this thread I thought this was by design, because this particular sim never had the problem before his first trip to Sulani, and then it popped up every time he stepped outdoors in Brindleton Bay, where there is an ocean. I found it annoying but just thought I'd have to live with it. Then I read your posts and took them back to Sulani and made them swim and the moodlet hasn't appeared again for the entire vacation. Hopefully this will continue when they get home.

@Daephene1 YAY!!! My poor Sim Alice suffered with this for months (our time, not even Sim time) and hasn't had an "episode" since I took her for Hair of the Dog. *crossed fingers*

Worked! The family has been home for over 24 hours without a single random scared moodlet. I am so happy now!
