The only reason I've kept the whole laundry thing going in my regular household is because they're millionaires so replacing the machines is easily affordable. But I shouldn't have to do it at all.

For me, specifically what happens is the washing machine will have its light on, as if it has a full finished load inside, when it's actually empty. If I try to upgrade it via the pie menu, the option is greyed out and says "can't upgrade this while laundry is inside" even though there's clearly none.

Also, Sims (butlers, maids, or whoever) apparently sometimes take dirty laundry out of the washer and place it, folded, on top of the machine to be put away instead of washing and drying it first. I know this because I sometimes hover over the clothing piles and see that their condition is "used." It seems as though the game doesn't automatically check the state of the clothes in the washer before a Sim autonomously removes it. It seems to be a simple solution to at least this part of the problem would be to only allow a Sim to autonomously remove clothing from the washer if it's wet. (edit: It just occurred to me that these two things may be connected. In other words, the reason the washer appeared to be full when it wasn't could've been that a Sim autonomously removed the clothes in it when they hadn't yet been washed.)

I don't know why 3 years have gone by and this pack is still buggy. It's inexcusable. As for CC, yes, I have some, but I've previously removed it to test other things and these particular problems have never changed. So I don't think CC is the problem.
