Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.80.69.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Seasons, Get to Work, Island Living, Snowy Escape, Get Together, City Living Expantions Realm of Magic, Dine Out Game Packs Tiny Living, Backyard, Patio, Fitness, Romantic Garden, Moschino Stuff Packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Mermaid spellcaster hybrid
What happens when the bug occurs? Gets out of the Water, still a Mermaid, 'walks' around on land with a tail
What do you expect to see? Should turn back into a Human
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

My Sim has not been able to change out of her swimming outfit since a child she just turned into a Teenager, same problem.

Her younger Brother has no issues with this (still a child)

I've had something simler in the past with my mermaid-spellcaster hybrids when they could not get rid of there tail outside the water so I just went and got her to get the ritual to not be a spellcaster and she still will not get out of her swimming outfit (tail). There are no other options in the Change Outfit, and Change Sims in the mirror lets me change the look put does not show up after coming out of it. I've got her to swim and come out, still the same.

I took off all my Mods to see if that would help and no change

I just installed City Living, but I dont remember if this happened before of after that, as I said I just ignored the problem then they where a child

    Okay I'm replying to my own post (not beacuse it is fixed)

    I was trying a few CAS things to see it it would help, like in and out of the water (swimming and not swimming) without changing anything them again with changing clothing, well swimming and changing clothes changed it...not fixed it. She now swims like a mermaid, as she was freestyling it before like a human. But she no longer 'walks' on her tail she is now swimming on land, *sigh*

    @56flowers Hybrids aren't supposed to happen. Only thing you can do is remove one of the occult states.

    I did.

    As I said I've had this problem before; I just removed the Spellcaster trait and all was well.

    I only have a bug this time cos I removed it and the problem is still there. She is no longer a hybrid, she is just a mermaid and she still can not turn back into a human.

    (BTW I've just removed the mermaid trait then put it back on her and it worked, she is a normal mermaid, but I just thought you should know that removing one of the traits doesn't always work)

    It was more of a statement that this is the only solution as far as I'm aware :D

    It has been mentioned in this thread multiple times that it doesn't always work on the first try, sometimes you have to do it twice or choose a different path to remove.
