Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Hire a nanny and dismiss or fire them.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I dismiss the nanny, he comes back to the lot immediately. When I fire him, a new nanny spawns every few in-game minutes with seemingly no end.
What do you expect to see? When dismissed, the nanny should leave until once again hired via the phone. When fired, the nanny should leave until a new nanny is hired via the phone.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I recently became frustrated with a bug that has been occuring in my game on one particular save file. When my sims dismiss a hired nanny, he immediately reappears on the lot. If they fire a nanny, several new nannys/nannies begin to appear on the lot like an infestation and I had to load an earlier save. Even after this re-load, the original nanny continued to arrive minutes after I dismissed him.

Testing Notes:

• Doesn't happen on every save file: did not re-occur on a new save file with new sims when testing.
• The sim who initially called the Nanny Service has the "Free Services" trait. Unsure if this is a variable that factors in.
• Tested 3 older save files, same error did not occur. 1 of 3 sims had "Free Services" trait.
• Did NOT occur within another household on the same save file upon reload (was still happening in the original household at this point on reload).
• Re-installed game folder, no change.
• Happens with or without mods installed - that didn't seem to change anything. (Testing was done without mods, problem persisted without mods.)

While testing, after I went to another household, hired and dismissed a nanny, then re-loaded the original household. The original nanny was there, but a new nanny also showed up. I got my sim to dismiss the new nanny, then saved & quit as the original nanny was still labelled "Nanny", but did not have his options. When I loaded in, the original nanny still didn't have his usual options. I asked my sim to ask him to hang out, then he did his standard nanny greeting. After this his nanny menu options returned, so I immediately dismissed him and sent him home with the radial dial option that was there as a result of hanging out with him. A few hours in-game later, I was hopeful this harrowing experience was over. That was until I saw the pop-up "Hello! How are you doing today? It is delightful to see you again!"
