This is still a problem since 2021?!  Clicking any stove or fridge is always freezing and multiple freezing during cooking!  Why haven't they fixed it yet???

@Skeeter55555  - because adding vitiligo and a shopping cart was more imortant than fixing years old bugs. Go figure lol

This has been pretty bad since HCH and now worse still since as I have all packs now on Xbox Series X. Yesterday trying to open the fridge took around 12 seconds but I made the mistake of closing it and trying to open it again. It slowed my entire game down until it was unplayable. My usual method of stopping a lag by bringing up Game Options then closing it again didn't work.

I generally don't open the fridge at all these days and instead I click Serve Meal. Doing it that way is working for me with no lag. But I really have to avoid opening the fridge.

its not even a bug lmfao, stop blaming ea for every single thing. Pie menu delay is caused by mods that add lots of interactions to the pie menu. I have no pie menu delay if i play without mods but i do have it when i play with mods. Its just the way it goes and its the same thing in sims 3 with nraas mods.

So it's not a bug, it's because of mods but people who plays on PlayStation where one can't use mods, also experiencing it?

So a bug for them and not the ones who use mods? Or what's your explanation for that?

He just talks through one's hat, ignore him. That's bold, blaming players for badly optimized game.

I don't use mods and the lag is unbearable.

Experiencing this since Life and Death, for both objects (fridge, computer) and some sims (ie. the grim reaper). Mods have been removed to rule out that they're interfering. I've seen a lot of people on discord have the same issue since the new expansion. I have a gaming PC in good condition which shouldn't be the issue. Here's a video of it happening, notice the difference in speed of the menu opening between the different things being clicked on. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fsht60UJsAcKsQXd6GCOgfNHLTRJJPxU/view

@simsplayer818 Due to the other bug with reaper quest, I deleted the whole game and all packs, played only basegame and wow there was zero lagging when I clicked the fridge and computer. Wonder if its all the extra options that makes it lag (options that comes with lots of packs)

hi, i tried everything and this keeps happening since the last update. not only menu lag, most times the menu doesn't show at all, i can click on objects but nothing happens, characters get stuck doing their last action (usually at work or sleeping), if i was playing on x3 speed and i turn back to x1, the screen continues moving at x3 speed and you can tell by the way the trees move, save screen stays saving forever never really finishes saving and closing the game or moving to manage worlds, basically the game crashes without literally crashing, i have to force close it myself. i commented in another post about this already, but nothing seems to be able to stop this. i played removing all the mods and cc, i played removing only the mods and only the cc, it happens regardless of what's going on. i don't know what to do.

  • @Anma998 It was Cottage Living made it worse for me. At the moment the lag is 18 seconds in my game when using the fridge. So I'm avoiding it unless I absolutely have to use it.

Hello, I come to report the excessive LAG that the game has with certain interactions such as ovens, refrigerators and certain special NPCs for example Michael Bell, the menu takes a long time to appear, also when traveling in batches the game takes a long time to load, and when the batch finally loads, the sims remain static for a while without doing anything, this began to happen since the last update of the new Life & Death expansion, it is horrible to play like this in the current state, I clarify that I tried deleting the files cache and removing the entire MODS folder, which as such are very few that I use, but it still takes too long which didn't happen before, and my PC is modern and games like more modern ones and with higher requirements run smoothly without lags
