Re: [LDSP] Washing machine only shows upgrade

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    I did all of what you said, but the bug continues. I tried to open 2 new saves and the same error came to me again and again.Since I can't add the pictures from the file attachment section, I'm throwing them as an attachment.

    I also tried to relocate them, put them in inventory, put them back, sell and buy again, but the error persisted.

    @sepultrac There are issues with the washer and dryer but usually they work for a while and it's more than just upgrade that shows up so not sure what's going on in your game.

    I don't understand either because it's always been like this since I bought it. Now I'm wondering if I need any add-on packs?

    I am having the same problem. It used to work for me but after building on a lot and using different build mode cheats I can’t seem to get anything but upgrade to pop up on washer and dryer. I’ve tried everything.

    This is also happening to me. 
    the washing machine will work fine for a while but then all of a sudden all I can do is upgrade it. 
    the only fix is to completely delete the washing machine and replace it but that’s annoying when you’ve spent time fully upgrading it. 

    I am on PS4 so no mods.

    @crinrict I am also on PlayStation so no mods just cheat codes. Only used build codes like move objects anywhere and such. Never had this issue til today the washer and dryer is not recognized. Only thing I can do is upgrade and moving into inventory or deleting does not fix it. It’s a sad day lol
