Level a sim to lvl 10 of any musical instrument, buy the mentor ability from the reward store using asperation points, attempt to mentor another sim that is currently playing the instrument your sim is lvl 10 in. What happens when the bug occurs? I am trying to complete the Musical Genius asperation. One of the required tasks for me to complete the asperation is to mentor another sim on an instrument for 3 hours. My sim is lvl 10 in both guitar and piano and I have purchased the mentor skill from the asperation store. When I click on a sim who is playing an instrument the option to mentor them should appear, but doesn't. I can not get it to appear regardless of my sim's relationship to the other sim or the other sim's skill level. What do you expect to see? I expect to see the mentor choice pop up in the interactions when I click on another sim playing a musical instrument my sim is lvl 10 skil in, but the mentor button is not there, and I can't make it appear. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
This video is from another player who is using the Playstation version of the game, and trying to mentor in fitness, but it shows the same bug I am running into with mentoring music on PC.
My sim is not a vampire. As of the time of this bug, my sim was a young adult with no special status other than max fame level. I did find a lastexception file in my doc folder, the text in the doc is as follows:
