I started noticing this issue in my current play session. I play the scenario Unlucky Chef, and he has to cook several meals a day for the Culinary career daily task. After the game updated today (the MWS patch update), the food in his fridge has all gone bad, although the meals actually had several days left before spoiling. I just had him cook two meals right now, and the timer was at 10'ish hours. Not days, hours. There is no point in cooking several meals and putting them in the fridge, because the timer in the fridge is the same as if you leave the meal on the counter.
I have not tested without mods yet, but will do as soon as I can.
ETA: I was halfway through my 50/50 when a fellow forum member put me on the right track, and the culprit was found. It is mod related, and in my case it was "NoInventorySharing" by LittleMsSam. The fast food decay could be caused by any similar mod, doesn't have to be fridge spesific.
Could be helpful for anyone else using mods, to know what kind of mod to look for.
