Re: [ARCHIVED] Orange/Green Exclamation signs over lots / Houses disappear
Recently, I have encountered a frustrating issue with residential rentals in The Sims 4. Initially, everything was running smoothly as I constructed apartment complexes in Oasis Springs. However, when I returned to Willow Creek and placed an apartment complex on Oakenstead, the nightmare began. I immediately noticed an orange exclamation mark on the rental property, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't access it or even enter build mode. To make matters worse, I received an 800 error code. This problem not only affected the rental property but also had a detrimental ripple effect throughout Willow Creek. I lost houses, families, and the issue began spreading to other areas. Determined to resolve it, I removed all mods, reinstalled The Sims 4, and reverted to a previous save where there were no rentals. Although the families were still present, I decided to construct some rentals in Oasis Springs and Oakenstead once again. Unfortunately, the problem resurfaced on the lot adjacent to Oakenstead, and it began spreading throughout Willow Creek once more. I am deeply disappointed by this situation as it continues to destroy everything I have worked hard to achieve in the game. It is both frustrating and perplexing. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue by removing all mods, repairing the game, reinstalling The Sims 4, and updating my computer, the problem persists. In an attempt to mitigate the damage, I managed to bulldoze the house on Oakenstead and moved one family out of Willow Creek. However, when I returned to bulldoze their house next to Oakenstead, I made an interesting discovery. I found two floors of apartments from another world hovering above the Oakenstead lot. Strangely enough, they resembled the apartments I had built in Oasis Springs, but without any floors or walls, just floating objects. Despite my efforts, I couldn't bulldoze this lot, and the objects remained in place. To my dismay, this issue started affecting my other lots in Willow Creek as well. II am seriously considering quitting playing because I fear that the situation will only worsen. I am at a loss for what steps to take next, as I am terrified of losing all that I have achieved. I was shocked to see apartment objects floating above the demolished Oakenstead lot. They were undeniably from an apartment in another world, as I could interact with them pick them up or delete these objects. However, I hesitated to remove any of the objects, fearing that they may destroy another apartment complex in a different world.
