I'm almost afraid to turn the game back on to check because after aging up the 3 toddlers and doing some shopping and leveling I decided to go in CAS to change their outfits. (I had just completed the toddler event.) I went to save household but then backed out to check hairstyles and it froze on the all, long, short selection menu. Only the right stick would do anything so I could rotate and zoom. I had to close the game without saving.... *squinted eyes slowly opening* here goes nothing.
Well it auto saved before going in CAS so just had to redo the editing. Anyway, sketchpad works fine doing random art. Only freelance career art is always normal quality and between 100 and 300 in value though haven't seen it actually reach 300.

It's been a while since my freelancer has done a gig but I can certainly check it later tonight. The last time (about a month ago our time) my level 10 painter was creating masterpiece level freelance work right and left.
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@SirGelan any particular category ?
Just tried to reply and got an error as if I wasn't signed in. I'll never post again before copying what I wrote. Short version: did a cheaper job got masterpieces, redid matte landscape whatever got one masterpiece then all normal again and editing them didn't change it. Think freelance could use some reprogramming.
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@SirGelan Thanks for the testing. Sounds a bit inconsistent.
Yeah its like I had to do a smaller job to unlock masterpiece in the RNG then doing the other job again tricked the system into giving me that one masterpiece before saying oops we were trying to screw ya. Definitely something wrong though. Not only should lvl 10 painter never get normal, but there is no in-between. No nice, no excellent.

I finally got a chance to test and my level 10 freelance artist just produced two excellent items.
I've found that editing rejected work isn't worth it, and I usually sell rejected work and try to get inspired before creating a replacement work. (Brain-boosting yoga, thoughtful showers, cloudgazing, jungle adventure museberries, "inspired" cowplant milk, club vibes, etc., all produce inspired moods.) It seems like no matter how inspired you are editing never improves your work, which kind of aligns with what you're saying.
She did the Character Concept gig, FWIW. I usually pick that or the matte backgrounds because they pay more.
Yeah I usually do those jobs too...just without your results even when inspired. Lol
