Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? One-sim household. Turn off needs decay, give sim Liking for programming and video games, make sure not Lazy, put into Freelance Programmer career. Get any gig that requires programming level 7 or higher. Attempt to do entire gig all the way through at once while at max needs/mood. Make sure to turn autonomy off!
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim will work part of the project and then stop. No matter how many times you re-command them to start, they will sit down, then immediately the action is cancelled. You have to stop and do something different for several hours before the Sim will resume work as commanded. This would make sense if there were low mood or needs, or if the Sim had autonomy on, but with those turned off and household needs frozen, there is NO reason for the Sim to continue to balk.
What do you expect to see? 1. Sim with autonomy off to perform ordered action, every time. 2. Sims with autonomy off not allowed to autocancel actions we have scheduled for them. 3. Sim with maxed mood and liking for the work to finish the work without stopping every hour.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not anymore, removed them and deleted the local thumb cache, Sim still won't work straight through
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Began playing Sims 4 after the Mean Patch on 10/11/22 (this is why only one-sim households are playable) ; never played a working version of the game. Only noticed this "feature" the first time I had a freelancer sim.
@justthatweirdo Does it work if you do other computer interactions ? Do you have clutter on the desk the computer is on ?

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All current EP, GP, SP and Kits. I own all packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When playing as a freelancer programmer/ when attempting to do any of the second steps as in "mod a game, create a app, etc. the game will stop the action of making an app/game and refuse to continue.
What happens when the bug occurs? It happens nearly all the time playing as a freelance programmer. When playing as a freelancer programmer when attempting to do any of the gigs after about 20 gigs, the game will stop the action of making an app/game and refuse to continue.
What do you expect to see? I expect the programmer to write the app/game and the action be completed and not repeatedly canceled off.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes/ but have removed it to see if anything conflicted and that is not the problem.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? After I downloaded the new kits.
When playing as a freelancer programmer/writer when attempting to write a book the game will stop the action of making an app/game/writing a novel and refuse to continue.
