Re: [FIXED] Weeding animation loops and weeds aren't removed

I play on console, and just recently I’ve had trouble with the “weed area” action. When I click it, or even the “Tend Garden” action, the Sims move to weed the area, but the weeds NEVER GO AWAY. The sim will continue to pull the weeds up, or suck the weeds up with the vacuum device, yet they NEVER go anywhere! Even Patchy, the Scarecrow, can’t remove them. If I exit the game, they’ll disappear for a moment, but then they’ll just reappear. I’ve tried closing the application out, moving the plants around, moving the plants outside, etc. Nothing is helping. I truly need help because I really love this game, but this bug is making this game very frustrating.

    @iLilNerdie   Hi!  I have no idea if it will work but sometimes putting plants into the household inventory will reset them.  Go into build mode and move the plants with weeds to your household inventory.  Go back to Live mode for a bit, then go back to build mode and place the plants back where they were, then try weeding again.

    It worked!! The weeds have finally disappeared, and now everyone, including Patchy, is now able to weed ALL the plants, rather than continuously weeding the same 4 plants. Thank you SO very much, @JonaO703 . You are truly a lifesaver. ❤️

    @iLilNerdie   You're welcome!  I'm glad you were able to get rid of those darn weeds. :-)

    I see your thread was merged with an existing one.  I swear I looked for other reports about this but didn't see this one for some reason.  Anyway, reading through the thread, it seems possible that this issue may come back.  So, moving them to inventory and back might just be a workaround if it happens again.  Fingers crossed it does not!  Happy Simming!

    Edit:  @iLilNerdie Also, I wanted to mention the EA team has requested saves.  So, if you encounter this problem again (or for anyone else experiencing this problem) please see the Sims Direct request below and consider sharing your save with them.
