@crinrict i claimed a locker with that sim but afterwards i changed the interior of the High school and rearranged the interior. i may have deleted the already claimed locker and that is why i can't claim a new one?
when i create a new teen sim and travel with them to the HS, they can claim a locker in the intended way
Yeah I did actually. I used different versions of the sims I'd created in my gallery for the pack and they all claimed their lockers.
I have discovered that there's an Oversight with certain locker types not being properly flagged, replace them if they are of the "Stylized" kind of Lockers for the normal school locker type. Now Locker options for school should be available!
i have MCCC installed so it's making managing traits easier, but i think it can be done with commands too.
i found that my sim had a "claimed locker" hidden trait, and removed it. once i did that, i could claim another locker. that being said, i'm not sure which lockers are actually functional or if they all are?
sadly, my sims don't seem to have this hidden trait
i tried cheats like "traits.remove_trait HighSchool_Active_ClaimedLocker" or "sims.remove_buff HighSchool_Active_ClaimedLocker" too, but to no avail
ageing my sims up and immediately de-aging them with cheats makes them able to claim a locker again, but i am not sure if this method can cause problems later on, because they get there diploma by aging up

but how to unclaim the lockers from sims that graduated, aged up or even died? Even the grandchildren meet the locker occupied by their long-time ago passed grandparent and you can do literally nothing with it. The only salvation I see is cloning it with TOOL, then deleting the claimed one and moving the free clone in place (fortunately, TOOL won't clone the property of an object, I cloned tons of family property objects in order to make them community-friendly) but just tell me why the players have to do this manually instead of the game engine? Condolences to console players that have to deal with that product without any fix possible....
