We've deployed a hotfix server-side, so hopefully saving rooms no longer crashes for you.
If you're still seeing crashing when saving to library, try entering text into the description.
If that still doesn't help, let us know.
All my saves are now working. Rooms, Builds and sims from the manage Households ect. 🙂
I'm playing in offline mode and I'm having the same issue. I can save a lot but when i save a room the game crashes consistently ☹️ Is the server side fix only working when being online? This is still preventing people to save rooms in their personal gallery while offline though, which is not a full fix of the problem.
I tried it with different rooms even empty rooms, it always crashes. I tried with the option "Online Social Features Access" on and off, with mods on and off, I deleted thumbnail cache - it always crashes when I try saving a room. I have a last crash txt if you like to have a look?
EDIT: I just saw the sentence "Try adding a description" in the official EA response, and indeed, this solves the issue! When I add a description (not just a title) then the room saving doesn't crash. Is there a way to prefill or saveguard for that automatically, as it is easy to forget this detail in the future?
I also want to add I'm still on the patch before For Rent patch, which is the reason why I'm playing in offline mode, given the last 2 patches have been adding a lot of critical bugs and I wanted to protect my rotational save. So if this suggestion above as been actually added in any of these 2 patches, ignore my report. But if not, it would be great to add this, so offline players don't need to remember that they have to add a description to room saving to protect their game from crashing 🙏
