Sims freeze and won’t complete tasks/cancel tasks on their own

I’ve literally done EVERYTHING— I’ve done all the things that other ask threads have said to do and I’m literally so frustrated that I started crying I don’t know what to do. ☹️What happens when the bug occurs? I will go to my legacy household and my sims might start or complete one or two tasks and then they all freeze and stand there and won’t perform anymore tasks. OR SOMETIMES I’ll tell my sim to do something and then the action cancels itself.What do you expect to see? My sims doing what I tell them to do. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure&nbsp;‌Please please please somebody help me fix this issue— I’m so desperate idk what to do. :’(

Seriously though! It’s so frustrating and I’m a little worried that I’ve lost my sims family forever. I even chatted with support from EA and they couldn’t figure out how to fix it either. 🥺

These instructions don't tell you where to start.
I'm having this same issue, no mods, it only started happening within the past couple days. You can select a few tasks and then it freezes on the tasks, though the sims will still have movements (not moving, but moving heads, arms, babies make sounds, etc).

I've got this too. It happened ever since I've installed For Rent. I took out all mods to make sure it wasn't a mod/cc conflict. Same thing happens.

When I go to "save as..." this sometimes will allow the game to resume again but it is very annoying to constantly do that.

Try using the “save as” feature and not the regular “save” button. If you get the save error, try going into another household and save the game there.

it’s a bit tedious to do constantly but it may help.
