OK, I did read some errors people had like this where they'd try to travel to a lot and they'd get sent back to the map screen with an error code. 

this attached screenshot is what I get when i try to travel to certain venues- like ThrifTea store or the karake bar in San Myshuno.

I have a lot of official content, but NO user mods. This started after either an update or after I downloaded the snowy retreat expansion (I think)

So I don't know what to do. I have repaired my game several times from the EA menu, and even started a new game and it behaves except when it randomly decides that certain places are off limits.

    I have also been having the same issue! These last couple of days I haven't been able to really play. I had spent countless hours on one world in particular and the other day I went to save it or open it up and the whole thing was completly gone! The entire game (all of my households) just disappeared! That's when the error message like yours popped up and everytime I go to make a new household it just keeps coming up.

    Well I found a thread in bug reports that details it much better than i did but it seems everyone got this issue after the update so since the game staff is looking into it i assume we can expect a patch for it hopefully sometime soon. I don't think there is anything the players can do to fix there own game.
