I'm having a problem with the cheat codes for raising a skill. They are not working. I have testingcheats on before I try, but nothing happens. I've tried raising a few different skills, none of them work. It's been happening since the last update.
@melaniet1020 did you get a notification that the skills raised but it didn't show anything on the skill bar, or did nothing at all happen when you tried the cheat? I noticed when I was testing the skill cheats for this bug report that sometimes the skill being raised wouldn't show even though I got a notification that the skill had raised. In my case going into CAS and back out again got the increase in the skill to show on the skill bar. If that's not what's happening, have your tried repairing your game if you play on computer and use the EA app?

When I put in the code, nothing happened. I didn't get the notification that I leveled up a skill like I normally do.
@melaniet1020 Hi! Are you playing on PC, Mac or console? Also, please provide one or two of the cheats that aren't working for you.
I play on pc. I've tried repairing the game but that didn't work. I've been trying to cheat up skill in baking and logic. When I put in the code (after testingcheats on) nothing happens. I usually get a level up notification when I use the cheat but it's not happening.
I have the same problem on PC. I can't change skill levels up or down, nor can I change career status. I just started playing Sims 3 days ago. I tried to resort the cheat because the game crashed and all the characters accomplishments were lost. So frustrating. Now I am just trying to set their accomplishments back to where they were prior to the crash, and nothing works pertaining to their skills or careers. Other cheats pertaining to building, etc seem to work. I lost all of my new builds as well. I even back up the game to a storage device and I still got bamboozled due to the severe crash and it froze up the entire computer. I first tried playing Sims via Xbox, but that was a disaster. Poor play ability and lost the entire game due to a crash on the very first day. Started playing it via Stream and it was working fine until again another major crash. Might be a sign to quit this game all together after 3 days of play. (I've never played any form of Sims before)
