[PS4] Changing Everday hairstyle overwrites already changed hairstyles

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PS4
Which language are you playing the game in? - German
How often does the bug occur? Every time
What is your current game version number? - 1.96
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?

Expansion packs: All except Seasons, Eco Lifestyle, Growing Together and For Rent

Gameplay packs: All except Jungle Adventure, StrangerVille, Realm of Magic and Star Wars: Journey to Batuu

Stuff packs: All except Spooky, Laundry Day, My First Pet, Tiny Living, Nifty Knitting, Home Chef Hustle and Crystal Creations
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? - Pick any hairstyle for the first slot of the everyday outfits
What happens when the bug occurs? - It copies the selected hairstyle to every other outfit slot in every outfit category
What do you expect to see? - Fix this, please. It's maddening to have to change all the hairstyles back manually.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? - No. (Is that even possible on console?)
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? - The bug occured after I installed Lovestruck. Don't know if it already existed when the update prior to the release of Lovestruck came out, though.

The mentioned bug only occurs in the first outfit slot of the everyday outfits. Every other slot works normally.

I'm not experiencing this on PC. The hair link is breaking as it's meant to whenever the hairstyle on a different outfit is manually changed.

It could be a bug on console I haven't read about yet or it could be a new bug introduced with yesterday's console patch.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
  • @Sejian Nah, the bug already existed before yesterday's console patch and didn't get removed with it, which I had hoped.

@Matti260989 Just making sure this is what you are seeing.

This is how it should work:

If you change everyday hairstyle without having touched any of the others, all the outfits get the hair you choose on everyday.

If you change any of the hairstyles other than everyday, that one is now excluded from being changed when you change everyday.

    What you see:

Everyday hairstyle always overwrites all the hairstyles no matter if you have edited them before or not
  • @Matti260989 I've checked on Xbox Series X and it's working exactly as @crinrict describes for me as it always has done, is this not how it's working for you? If it's not then I can ask a PS player to check as well for any ideas.
