Re: Change monitor om sims

@SaltyGaben  Are you trying to use the VR and play Sim 4 at the same time? This leads to a lot of questions. Are you able to drag the game to the secondary monitor? The issue here is these Sims games (both 3 and 4) tend to not work well with dual monitors. Second running VR and a 3D graphical game at the same time I would think might be a bit taxing for even the best of consumer computers. When I had my HTC Vive setup I used a higher end system just for the VR. Really need a detail inventory of your equipment and how it is hooked up to start analyzing your requirements. This may be something to discuss with a local guru.

yes I'm using the vr and playing sims4 at the same time and that's fine, and I have two monitors hooked up and I want Sims 4 on the second screen but in fullscreen, everything works it's just that I want to see both games at the same times

@SaltyGaben  Like I pointed out - the Sims (3 and 4) sometimes (a lot of times) have issues with a dual monitor configuration. This may be because the game does some post driver manipulation of the video (I'm not sure about this but the games do look at the video cards and ranks them). What you are trying to do is very unusual (I have never used VR and played a 3D graphical game on the same computer at the same time and it may be (probably) something in your setup that may be causing issues (not sure). To properly help you I would have to know all your hardware and how it is connected to even start scratching my head. The Sims games 3D graphics can get very demanding depending on what packs you are running. Did you try running the VR on the secondary monitor?

there are no issues with the game, I was just wondering if I could switch the Sims 4 game from my primary Screen to my secondary, as I can't control where the vr is showed I can only switch Sims 4 but I can't see an option for that in the game.

@SaltyGaben  The game does not have an option to select which monitor to use in a multi monitor system. If you want to change the display for this game I'm guessing the video driver has to support this. Most users probably run an application like a web browser in the secondary monitor while the the game runs on the primary monitor. There have been several posts about running the Sims games in dual monitor setup and removing the second monitor usually resolves the issue. I'm guessing special software would be required to play a game in the secondary monitor and this software would have to be able to separate inputs and outputs making Windows 10 multi user which it isn't. Dual monitors work on consumer Windows 10 because one user is in control of both screen at all times and input is switched depending which screen is being controlled which in essence is split screen. What you want is to have 2 users each controlling different local hardware at the same time. IMO this is beyond the capabilities of consumer operating systems. The closest I have seen for a multi user system is Unix which is primarily a command line operating system and will not run Windows applications anyway. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just think it is not possible with plastic Windows 10.
