Re: Best laptop for the Sims 4? (UK, <£500)

@strangebrooch  The most important detail in determining how well a laptop will run Sims 4 is the graphics card or chip, and in your price range, this is actually a relatively simple matter.  Dedicated cards only show up in more expensive machines, so your best options have fast integrated chips (integrated into the processor), capable of medium-high to high graphics settings.  These should all run Sims 4 roughly the same, plus or minus a few percentage points depending on how the manufacturer tuned the machine:

The second one has the best screen of the group, although all of them are good enough.  The last three are refurbished, but you said you didn't mind.

If you don't like any of these, let me know what details matter, and I'll have another look around.  And if you have more questions in general, please feel free to ask.

    Thank you!

I’ve ordered the second one 🙂 it looks a lot better than my current laptop!

Hi, I'm looking for the same type of laptop but would also play with quite a lot of CC and Mods. Just wondered if any of the laptops you linked would still be suitable for running the game well with no lag and either medium/high settings (preferably high but not fussed about ultra-high) as well as a majority of the expansion and stuff packs and the added CC and Mods? I have the same budget of under £500.

Thanks for any advice and help!

@abilang75  For a sub-£500 laptop, the ones I listed are the best I could find at the time.  I'm happy to do another search if you're interested, but if you like any of the models I listed, they're just as good as they were last week, with storage for more custom content than you could realistically ever download.  You're not going to find hardware that can run Sims 4, all packs included, on high-ultra graphics settings, in the £500-and-under range, at least not new, so this class of laptop is as good as you're going to get.

If none of the laptops are what you want, let me know why, and I'll do a more focused search.
