Re: DLC download error
Hello, I've been having issues with the game pack "Werewolf" for months now. It shows as owned and in my library within the EA App but will not allow me to download it and play it on my PC. I can launch the Sim 4 base game itself with no problem and it shows all my other kits and packs. The "Werewolf" game pack just won't download and is stuck on "Preparing" forever. This is especially frustrating because I've already downloaded and played the pack before when I first bought it, and it "uninstalled" itself in June.
I've been going back and forth with EA Help advisors for months now over this. I have tried:
- App Recovery and clearing cache
- restarting the EA App
- uninstalling the Sims 4 game from my PC, uninstalling the EA app, then reinstalling the EA app and then the Sims 4 game with all its packs (while all the other packs were successfully reinstalled, the "Werewolf" pack was again stuck on "preparing")
- Reinstalling origin (it only shows a banner telling me to download the EA app and I can't do anything on it)
- asking for a refund so that I could buy it again instead (This didn't work because it was almost 3 months since I first bought the game, but the advisor tried disabling the purchase instead. This didn't seem to change anything either as the pack is still seen as owned in my EA app library and I can't repurchase it or download it there despite my clearing cache and restarting the app again multiple times).
To reiterate, I am still able to launch and play the Sims 4 on my PC. On the starting screen of the game, the "Werewolf" game pack is seen as owned. However, once I click "Play", it tells me that it is missing and requires purchase. I'll attach screenshots of the in-game messages. Please let me know if anyone knows of any fixes to this. Thank you!
