@9831087Okay it's just the same as before. I will retry it just in case I missed something though.
@9831087 Does the game still crash on opening, and is your computer still laggy? In either case, please post a new dxdiag. Please also link the driver download page for your laptop. That page doesn't contain any information about your own computer, just the overall model.
- @puzzlezaddict Yes it still crashes and my computer is still laggy. and I will link them in my next post, give me a few minutes.
Here is the txt and the download page.
Okay so I did it again, twice I believe. I can't link it, but I can possibly take a picture or tell you what I see. I just done it and nothing is showing up to download anything. I don't know if it's because I already downloaded it or what.
@9831087 Your computer still doesn't have a graphics driver installed. Please link the overall downloads page, not the driver you're trying to download, as in, I'd like to see that entire list of drivers. You might need to click a link or expand a menu to see the entire list. But this is definitely a website you can link here.
- @puzzlezaddict I am so sorry for responding so late, please understand I have school now, so I won't be responding as often. Here is the link, although when I try to see if it will be able to work for you, I have to put in the Windows type and the version. My computer is a Windows 11 and the version is 22H2 (64-bit). I hope you can see all of the drives, if not I will try and send you some screenshots. https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-14-f0000-laptop-pc-series/33690517/model/2100018167?sku=227X7UA
Here are the screen shots just in case the link doesn't work as intended.
@9831087 Don't worry about the late reply. I understand people can get busy or have other priorities, and I'll be here whenever you have time to work on this issue.
The driver you want is under Driver-Display/Monitor; I guess HP decided to change the name recently. The specific driver is AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver-Picasso/Dali: your processor is of the Picasso family in AMD's naming scheme.
- @puzzlezaddict Sorry, I did what you said, but it still didn't work for me, and I tried it on both Steam and the EA App.
@9831087 Please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
Next, try again to install the graphics driver. If you get a message that it's already installed, that's fine; the point is to try again in case your system couldn't install it correctly the last time.
Finally, hit Windows key-X, choose the Device Manager, expand the Display adapters section, right-click on the entry you see and select Properties, then take a screenshot of each tab (General, Driver, etc.) and post it here. You can embed the images within the post by using the Insert Image button which is two to the right of the emoji button.
- @puzzlezaddict Before I reset my computer, all I got was this: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Here are all the screenshots.

Last one.
@9831087 When you say you reset your computer, do you mean you restored it to factory settings, or something less drastic? If you restored to factory settings, please post a new dxdiag. If you didn't do that, please update the BIOS using the software provided by HP. The BIOS update is the first option listed on the driver download page you linked before.
This is what I got, and I don't do factory resets at all. I just reset my computer is all, nothing special.
@9831087 Please update your computer's BIOS, as mentioned.
- @puzzlezaddict I still got the same error, and I downloaded it twice just to make sure.
@9831087 Now that you've updated the BIOS, please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the graphics driver, as described here:
Download a fresh copy of the same driver you've been trying to install already. If DDU can't find an installed driver, that's fine, just skip the process and try again to manually install the driver, but it's worth at least finding out whether DDU detects a driver at all.
If this doesn't help either, please post a new dxdiag.
I did all of the steps, but it still gave me the same error about my video card. I haven't been able to play the game since I really installed Growing Together, do you know how to fix this?
- @9831087 Hi, I finally can open the game now. I manually updated my drive, which was so helpful. I couldn't see the date of when they came out, but now I can. Thank you so much for helping me get my Sims 4 together! Please have a great rest of your day!
@9831087 That's great to hear, and let me know if you need any more help.
