Re: [PC] Can't play at all due to instant freeze on spawn screen

Hi @DriesNL, heres some things to try:

-Do a repair install of the game in Origin. In origin right-click your game and from the drop down menu choose 'repair' install.

-make sure that you've updated your drivers to latest version.
If AMD then go to its website and do the same. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Choose a 'clean install' (usually in the advanced install options)

If the problem only began after updating your graphics driver then try reverting to a previous driver (again choosing 'clean install)

If you have Mantle enabled and it crashes then try disabling Mantle.

-Go to C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings and delete the file "PROFSAVE_profile" (or you could just move it somewhere else on your PC for safekeeping). This will also reset keybindings and graphics settings so you will need to do them again when you launch the game.

See if it crashes. If it still does then try lowering your AO (ambient Occlusion) or AA (Anti Aliasing) settings.

-Update your BIOS to the latest version.

  • I am having the exact same issue

    AMD 9590 CPU

    32GB RAM

SSD Primary Drive (BF4 in on this drive)

    NVidia 780TI Video Card

    3 x Multiplexed Monitors (5040 x 1050)

I have had no issues until the last origin update and then i could not enter any servers unless i dropped the resolution by plugging in my Projector on the USB3 to HDMI connection (Dropping the resolution) i figured out that i was a setting in the new version of origin that needed deactivating.

Now i have the exact same spawn issue as the guy above where you are pinned to the initial spawn point with the same weapon until you die.

I have uninstalled the 780ti driver then un-parked the CPU cores on my processor, then reinstalled the latest 780TI driver and that’s sort of fixed it but its now an intermittent issue with a HIGH PING kick?

I have also run a speed test with my ISP and its flying under ADSL 2+?

OP do you happen to have Origin in game enabled? if you do disable Origin in game and see if your problem persists. To turn off Origin in game log into Origin, in the upper left hand corner click on the word "Origin" in the menu, and then click on "Application Settings". Next go to the "Origin in game" tab and uncheck the "enable Origin in game" box.
