Re: Battlefield 4 keeps crashing: Battlefield 4 stopped working

If anyone is using Overwolf (third party application that gives an in-game overlay, primarily used for teamspeak). Disable that **bleep** until further patches. Its whats been causing all of my problems. (3-10 second crashes, crash on load screen, infinite loading).

YOU SIR ARE MY FLIPPIN` HERO!
THERE'S A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

  • Overwolf is silly extra program  and not needed in teamspeak why they put it in teamspeak meh extra crap not a shock to me it makes issues. Good find wintrone I will add it to my list of programs to make issues in BF4 😕mileyhappy: Thank you.

  • I have TS3 but if you installed it then it should show in add and remove programs.

You may or may not have installed it. Just go to control panel, then to programs and check if you have it installed.
If not, then your problem lies elsewhere. Check if you have a user.cfg file in your BF4 directory (C: > Program Files x86 > Origin > Origin Games > Battlefield 4)
and if yes, delete the line "UI.DrawEnable" and save the document. That's another fix.

  • Sorry it was a typo, I have TS3. But in control panel I don't see overwolf so I assume I do not have that application installed.

I indeed have a user.cfg file but I made it my own and without the UI.DrawEnable..

So these things won't fix it..

Try disabling some other video game overlays if you have any. Also reinstall punkbuster, update silverlight, directx and .NET framework and your GPU drivers if you haven't already.

As a last resort you can start a live chat with an EA employee from here http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/?
Just choose BF4, PC, General technical support and type "Battlefield 4 keeps crashing" or something simillar and it should give you the option to start a live chat.
