So either EA/DICE fixed their crappy Update 1.15, or it's my ISP at the house.
I've been battling with this update and it's corrupt data install for the last 4 days. Like the rest of you, the DNS change had no effect for me. My roomate has a slim PS3 and he also experienced the same exact issue.
Since it seemed odd to me that a simple DNS address change would have allowed the file to download and install properly, I figured I'd try bringing the PS3 to work with me and attempting it on the company wifi (Different ISP). I'm happy (and ticked off with my ISP) to say that it worked and I think my ISP at home may have something to do with it! It downloaded and installed flawlessly the first time. I have COX Cable internet at home and we have CentruryLink Fiber-optic Internet at work.
