mass amounts of lag bf4

so yesterday i was playing battlefield 4 on my pc for probably 5 hours without any issues. now today im getting huge amounts of lag and the game is unplayable. nothing changed at all on my computer. just stopped playing for 9 hours and started again. i tried rebooting my pc but still huge amounts of lag when i try to play. and its not the video setting because yesterday i was playing on ultra just fine

Try power cycling your router. It might be worth checking if anyone else is on your connection doing anything heavy. Another thing worth keeping an eye on is if any scheduled scans are running. This won't cause true "lag", but can definitely inhibit performance enough to be noticeable.
