Thank you, for your reply,
Did 3 and 4...Neither worked..(Which is why I am unable to uninstall)...Did check computer and Windows (8.1) But will try again...Maybe I missed something...Got a feeling this is not going to be an easy fix, if I can figure it out at all.
Also, did the Disck Check, results were good...No issues found...However, the file checker scan did find some bad files that it was unable to fix, although, it did not indcate what / which files..But, at least I know what the problems is, just not what, where or how to fix them.
I did try to uninstall the game anyway, first from the computer then origin / EA.... Neither method will let me uninstall the game...and we know I have a / some corrupted files. But, as I say, so far, I have no idea where, what or how to fix...
But, it was a good try, and I do appreciate you're attempt to help! Thank you! --- Karen

UPDATE: Progress!!!!!
After I did the recomnded fix's given above...and not knowing what else to do....I followed it up with a "System Restore"
When it was done, BF4 was uninstalled from my computer, the BF4 ICON box was no long grayed out and the command
options worked...Just a little click...And just like that BF4 was back on my computer and the original maps working just
fine....
Only problem left is, the expansion packs also need to be reinstalled..It says to Install them through Origin...I understand
what that means..But, not quite sure how to do it!!
Well, at least some good progress has beem made..Now..If I cam just figure out how to get the expansions installed...
I think I will be so good to go!!!! ---- Karen
