Thanks for trying, but no luck /:
Dang ok let me ask this ... do you have origin and the games installed on the same drive? If not please try this as origin and the games need to be on the same drive. Or does the drive have lots of free room on it to install the game?

They're on the same drive and I have over a terrabyte of free space /:
Try this re- install origin only not your game just origin.
1. Uninstall Origin completely from Windows Control Panel.
2. Reboot your PC. This is important to clear out any lingering registry files or directories.
3. Download the latest here: http://origin.com/download
4. Install Origin You should not be prompted to update- Anonymous11 years ago
ok, so I uninstalled origin and rebooted into safe mode with networking. Now every time I try to install, I get the error "**ERROR: Failed to start PunkBuster service: Cannot create a file when that file already exists" and as soon as I press OK installation says it's complete, yet still prompts me to install.
Try it just with a reg boot up see if you still get the error. You have me confused why in safe mode but I get it you just want it fixed but safe mode could be blocking what it needs.

I did it in safemode because I was told multiple times to try in safemode, but it didn't work anyway, so. With regular boot, I get no error message. It just seems as if it completed an install, but where play should be it says install still.
Fair enough :womanwink:
When you try install / press install now is it still a no go?

Yep /: still doesnt do anything productive
Crazy :womanfrustrated: If this next part fails to fix then I am at a loss a few ways to trick a download btw any error at all when trying to download? ...
I hate saying this but make sure firewall is not blocking it other tricks for d/l....
you did this one so try next one I have them spaced with a or for each download trick I know.....
Please update your Origin client to the latest Beta version (top left Origin menu, Application Settings - General) and then enable Safe mode Downloading (Application Settings - Advanced).
or
Close origin
go to the hard drive you have BF4 installed on
then go into origin games and remove BF4 folder .. cut it and past it on desk top
Then restart origin so that it can see bf4 is gone
then closed origin again and move bf4 back to the original folder
Then open origin again
And try repair game
or
After you have experienced the error, can you please just close the error window and then resume the download by pressing the small arrow next to the exit option, in the download bar.
Keep doing this and it should finish the download. Remember to only hit it ones and if the error happens again, then resume again and keep doing the process.
or
1. PAUSE download & Log off
2. Completely close the Origin Client
3. Start Origin Client again
4. Log on & Resume download.
Do these steps at least 5-6 times and voila, it should finish. After doing these steps my download finished 100% without problem.
NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU PAUSE THE DOWNLOAD BEFORE LOGGING OFF AND CLOSING CLIENT!If none of this works for you...
I think as you have tried everything under the sun and then some its time to contact a EA game adviser to get this fixed. Something has to be wrong in EA end as all the normal fixes are doing nothing. Keep me posted as I would love to see you get this fixed and I will look about more.
Follow the Steps to contacting an EA Game Adviser to fix this :
1 Click here to go to the EA contact page. http://help.ea.com/en/
Note: Top left pick your Country :]
2 Select your game and platform, Then click next.
3 Select a topic and write about your problem.
4 Click next and select your preferred contact method.
5 Ask for a callback if you can as it is fast when I used it.
Or use this

The problem isn't with downloading the game, it downloads just fine. The issue is with installing it.

You might want to try manually uninstalling Origin before installing it again: http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/
