Re: No option to install Battlelog Web Plugin - can't launch Bf3 or Bf4

@plutomok91

Your issue here is that you are trying to use a plug-in on Chrome, which Chrome does not support.  Chrome dropped support for the plug-ins a while back.  I love Chrome, but had to stop using it to launch the game for a while as the "Plug-in Free Launching" system has been buggy.  However, a week or so ago I have been able to launch the game from Chrome with no issues, but some of my friends are still having issues with it like I was before.

If you are having issues with it, I would advise using Firefox.  When you sign in, hover over your name and go to settings.  The first option will be "Use Plug-in Free Game Launching", turn this OFF.  Then, you will see a yellow circle with an arrow in it a little to the left of your name at the top.  Click this and download and install the plug-in.  After install is complete, REBOOT your PC.  Try launching the game now.

If you would like to give Chrome a try and see if it will work for you like it has started for me, do the same settings as above, but make sure the plug-in free launching is ON.  As I said before, it did not work for me for a long time, and suddenly started working about a week or two ago.

    You're right. i dont think my problem has anything to do with the plugins.

    I just got off the phone with EA support and he managed to get my game to work

    to get my game to work i had to show hidden files to completely clear the Origin cache

    and then i had to perform a clean boot
    MSCONFIG

    1. disable ALL non-microsoft services
    2. disable ALL start up services

    ONLY then will my game boot

    Unfortunately i need to run certain services and startup apps for day to day use

    so this method incredibly inconvenient
