So both your Xbox One profile, and PS4 profile are linked to the same battle log?

Yes I play BF4 on all 5 platforms and they are all linked to my single Battlelog profile as you can see here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/user/ragnarok013/
Please note that despite all platforms being linked under a single Origin account progress on each platform is seperate for each soldier and not shared across platforms. Also note that no DLC or Premium is shared between platforms. The exception is that Sony offered a Premium only migration PS3-PS4 (no other DLC) and Microsoft offered an Xbox 360-Xbox One Premium only (no other DLC) Premium migration in order to encourage people to adopt their new consoles.
In short, this is possible but soldier progress is tracked separately between platforms and you must purchase DLC for each platform as DLC and premium is not shared between different platforms.

How were you able to do this? I tried linking from the battle log website, but I couldn't find anywhere to do so. Do I have to do it in game?

Here you go:
Link a gamertag or PSN ID to your Origin account:
1. Log in to your Origin account
2. Click Friends -> Add a friend in the menu bar
3. The pop-up will give you the option to connect to Facebook, XBOX Live or Playstation Network. Choose your preferred option
4. Fill in your log-in details and follow the steps on screen
You're good to go. If you are unable to connect, it could be a temporary issue with the servers. Try again later and if the issue persists for more than 24 hours, contact EA support.
