Re: I don't get it. Stabbed in the back, again ! This time I really don't know why?

Honestly though, you know, we can't do a single thing about these people here. Firstly, we don't have any power to do that (it's a player-based tech support forum) and secondly, even if someone with these powers was here, he wouldn't be able to do anything without strong proof that the ban was breaking the Terms of Service or Rules of Conduct. Without that proof it's just word against word and in that case admin's behavior is treated as allowed until proved otherwise. Basically, the only two things you can do are:

1) Appealing to them (I did a bit of searching and found the server giving ban messages like this; their appeal page seems to work for me...)

2) Reporting the admin who banned you, just like you would report a cheater (still, you need proof)

Also, after a bit of a search, I found what R08:S2 means (for that community, as it wasn't reall tough to figure out who did it): it simply means that you were banned, and to appeal at their site...

I can't even really comment on the whole situation properly on a personal level, as the whole case looks really confusing from where I'm standing (my opinion wouldn't change anything anyway)... basically, it looks like one of these cases where the only remedy will be to avoid these people in the future.

is kinda hard to appeal a ban when the admin has banned ones IP as well. unless someone like myself stumble upon other layers of the web and the web browsers that these layers use ...

I did ask them using the certain program (not mentioning what the program is). what I would like to know is does this ban placement fall under any fraud related issues in regards to sending them money for supporting their server only to be banned and not being able to access a certain specified  web site to appeal a ban?

I am unable to find out what it means, a friend in my friends list cannot find out what it means. what does it mean?

  • I honestly don't think that it can be qualified as a fraud, as there is no hard evidence that would qualify it as such - once again, it would be a word vs word situation (where admin could simply say that you broke some rules imposed by the clan - your donation would've been a non-factor and timing would be considered as a simple coincidence). If it happened in the exact same way to many people who donated... then perhaps it might have been possible to find proof, although I still find it quite unlikely (plus, honestly, this kind of approach would make absolutely zero sense for that clan).

About IP ban preventing you from appealing, you could even ask that friend of yours to create an account there and submit an appeal in your stead.

the is so much *!, so clan's are now allowed to accept money from people only to ban them without giving a reason for the ban or providing a link to an unwritten rule('s).without the worry of any repercussions. thats freakin awesome, NOT

at least the other clan I was offered to give me a full refund even though I didn't ask nor want the money back

there's that proof thing again. you mentioned in a previous statement "no proof"

EA and DICE make up ToS's, and RoC's so that they may be followed by who? the gamers, the administrators, both, or fictitious non living beings somewhere off in lala land ???

as for having a friend contact them about appealing a ban, why would I do that? I did make up a video of NOT being able to login, nor access the ban appeal's web link ...

    Just a few points:

    • You DONATED money, you didn't buy a product, you didn't buy the rights for you to be on their servers. You basicly said "here, take these monies, I like what you are doing" and that's it.
    • I don't know what you do to get banned everywhere but it could suggest you need to adjust your attitude when playing. It has never happened to me.
    • The ToS include who it's covering. I don't know what you are trying to prove by questioning it.
    • If you are banned from a server because the people on it don't like you then find another server, it's really that simple.

Yes I am full of rage, Yes I am full of anger, only because I am constant shat on, idea's are stolen right out from under my nose.

How does one find anybody that has had a similar problem or issue with a server without being able to have a ban placed on them for this * naming and shaming *.

How does one find anything without giving out the name of the server they are banned from for stupid *?

The world does NOT revolve around you or I, it never will, it never has!!! If you are easily offended by others comments on the Internet, my suggestion for you and I highly recommend you doing this on the double is to sell your computer('s) all of them, cancel your internet connection, cancel your cell phone plan and go back to the safe place. Cause people like myself will not change because you are offended by our comments.

hmm. screw you and the goat you rode in on. christ what the hell is wrong with society these days? my attitude is just * ducky. oh god I'm offended by that comment, I better ban him/her from the server. oh poor me, poor me. grow the * up already, the world does NOT revolve around you, you are NOT the center of the universe. I am not the center of the universe and the world does NOT revolve around me either.

jesus * christ I don't buy rights to play on a server with donations that help pay for their server rental('s). hmm well what the actual * do you call it then? these said servers have spam messages on there servers that constantly 'BEG' for donations.

its all going to byte you in the A.S.S. one way or another. Karma is THE most beautiful thing known to mankind ...

  • Well, for starters, I locked the thread, as there is no point in keeping it open when it pretty much turned into a rant combined with personal attack.

Now, to put it simply: naming and shaming is forbidden, because it doesn't result in anything positive. It doesn't get anyone banned faster, and in fact it can make everything slower - multiple reports on people who did nothing wrong only result in time being wasted and when it comes to actual rule-breakers, one report with proof will be better than five without any (or even with the exact same video/screenshot).

Also, name and shame is an easy way to get a witch hunt started on people who did nothing wrong. Considering that both people who accuse others and ones who get banned from the servers (no matter if they were kicked for cheating or behavior) have a habit of showing things in a way that makes them look better... it's very easy to make other people get the wrong impression regarding who really is at fault in various situations.

For reasons above, no-one is a special snowflake who can name and shame, both here and on Battlelog - not me, not you, not anyone else. Rules apply to everyone. If you believe that someone broke the rules and have proof - by all means send it by using the report function.

That aside, personal attacks combined with cursing are not going to result in fulfilling whatever aim they might have... in fact, pretty much the opposite, no matter if it's a forum on the Internet, Teamspeak, in-game chat or real life.
