Well, I tried putting all of my settings on low, and my CPU usage is still at 100%.. I have no clue why it is being used that much..
Hello again.
There is a few other things that can be causing it:
- Your Thermal Paste can be old.
- You can be experiencing issues with your memory.
- If you have downloaded something newly that you don't necessarily trusted, then that could have contained a bit-coin miner.
It's a exe that starts running and can be extremely difficult to locate and remove without a fresh install of windows.
This is something that can happen allot if you often download games or program.

I just installed this CPU about 2 days ago for this game specifically, thinking that this was a good enough CPU before the minimum requirements had been updated, so the thermal paste is very fresh. With my memory, I have been told that maybe I should upgrade to 16gb instead of 8gb to help with the memory leakage. My CPU does fine with other games and with the Bitcoin, is it able to only do it while the game is running..? Thanks for your help so far!
Hello again.
When it comes to the bit-coin miner things. I had a bit-coin miner that followed with a program I downloaded not to long ago.
And it made my computer "spaz" out when playing specific games. Like I said this is probably not the problem.
Unless you already have a program to keep an eye on your cores then I would refer you to: Core Temp
(Link opens in new window)
That program shows if you are utilizing all your cores.
If it only shows that we say 1 core is being used then that can be because the other ones are parked.
You can go into your BIOS and take a look, generally by hitting "Delete" when the appropriate screen shows up upon a restart of your PC.
You can also try to turn off "Hyperthreading" in your BIOS.
Something that could be tried as well is to set the exe in the Taskmanager to low cpu priority and see if that changes your current cpu experience.

From what I'm seeing from using that program Core Temp, it is showing my CPU temps not going above 40C. All of my cores are showing up as working. I am really bummed that this is happening, I upgraded everything for this game and I feel like I have wasted my money. The thing is though that this all should be working just fine. I see people on YouTube with the same setup getting 100+ frames constantly on ultra.
Hello again.
I'm sorry to hear that nothing have been working so far.
Hopefully another person will bring the answer to the problem
or a patch may be released that sorts this out for you.
I hope that everything works out in the end for you and have a good night/morning/day.

I also have this issue with the same setup. Averaging 60 fps on the most taxing map. scar! Yet I still have stuttering and dips. Would like to see the outcome of this thread as I am in the same situation.
fyi: I did not have this issue in the beta. Was playing 1440p all maxed out with a stable 70-80 fps

That's weird, I did not have this setup during the beta so I am not sure how it would have worked for me, but I do hope that something get's done about it.
