Re: Russian player need help

@ElectronicDK I dont think that game can do such a thing... Do u try to reinstall NIC (network interface controller) drivers or perhaps, u have installed some network connection optimization software like "Killer Software"?

  • @MADrag0n thank you for your comment, yeah, it looked weird to me as well, so I made sure I have the latest GPU drivers, because I have one of the latest Nvidia gpus, rebooted my computer, it seems to have improved things but now I'm getting a -34601 error. (And no, I don't have many 3rd party apps installed especially different kinds of "optimizers", I try to keep everything more or less clean).

    Even though I can connect from Russian IP without using VPN, I'm now getting an awful ping. Previously it was 58-65, not it's 100-115. This happened recently, when people started complaining about "-34601 error".

    Most of the time "Ping" is "-" in the servers' browse window:

    Same issue, on some german servers everything is okay, on some servers (german too) i am getting those icons indicating packet loss and unstable ping. Grey server ping indicators and error -34601 when i trying to use quick game too. Also i cant get on british servers at all, it says network connection is too bad or something like that. No problems when i use VPN, and there was no problems before 29 november. A lot of russian players experiencing those troubles too. Ofcourse its great that ea fixed 2000 error, but there still a problem for russian players, please fix it too.

  • yeah, also noticed, that on some servers ping is ok, around 60, on others (from the same country - Germany) could be 250.

    Not sure how this whole answers ea thingy work, but I'm also from russia, have bf5 on ps4 and almost constantly getting that 34601 error. Bought game couple of days ago. Restarting ps4 occasionally helps. ISP Beeline. Need help and fix on this annoying issue...

    I understand that the inner workings of BF backend is a secret and everything but it would be great if you gave us some clarity by describing how you've been trying to fix this problem and what issues you've encountered yourself because obviously something is changing all the time, in the last week or so I've gone back and forth between following stages in no particular order (without changing anything on my side): everything works very well, can't connect to multiplayer in main menu, can connect in main menu but can't search for games, can search for games but lag is terrible, can search for games but lag is erratic - can be good can be bad during the same game.

    I'm not even sure anymore if it's a problem on EA's side or ISP's side. I tried disabling all firewalls to make sure all ports are open but nothing changed. And everything used to work perfectly with my current setup so obviously either ISP or EA changed something.

    Obviously problem on the EA's side, because it's a massive issue. When everyone stop complain about issues and you're still facing any, then, of course, you need to dig further to your provider.

    Looking at the other screenshots that are some heavy packed loss, was that with VPN?

    For anyone that has the "-34601 error" can you try our network troubleshooting guide, to start from there. If you have done it already what parts have you done?


    I have read all the comments and thanks for the information!

    Was without VPN but on some servers only (from the same country, German or UK).

    So I browse servers, and the server browser screen shows "-" where the ping is, I connect and have package loss and high ping. I then re-connect to another server and there everything is fine. So it looks like the problem with some servers only.

  • I tried every step from this guide - flushing dns, clean boot, run origin as admin, checked my ports, also searched through this forum and google for possible solutions, nothing helped unfortunately.

    Still have error -34601, servers have grey "-" ping indicators in advanced search. On some servers (german servers) i had heavy packet loss and unstable ping but on some servers (also german servers) everything was fine and i didnt used vpn or anything when this happend.

    Everything was cool since error 2000 fix, but on 29 november i got those problems and error -34601.

    When i using vpn there is no error 34601 and no grey indicators in advanced search, so it looks similair to 2000 error maybe.

    2 weeks couldn't connect to the server. After 5 minutes of play - "connection with server is lost." The reason was in Killer Network Service, it is a network adapter on my MSI motherboard. Now, before I go into the game, I stop this process in the task Manager and the problem is gone... In two days only once there was a similar problem. But it is OK I think) Can be someone this will help.

    Still have this 34601 problem, but looks like EA dont care. Gave my money to have errors and problems with this game, good lesson for me i guess. Never ever buy anything from this company ever.

    Not sure if this was mentioned before or not, but on PS4 when I have 34601 error I can join servers ok-ish from advanced search menu. However it seems like sometimes during 34601 issue I don't see any servers from Europe. I can see servers normally from any other region, but nothing from Europe. Also during this problem pings are all in black.
  • Same problem with 34601 error. I have opened all the ports, tried to switch off the Firewall and still nothing. After EA have broken the game with new TTK, I was considering to play only Conquest Core mode. But it is only possible to play this mode via main screen (what about Advanced search?)… But again, hello, it’s 34601 error. So… I have no more interest in this game. It’s very sad to look at EA (DICE) doesn’t fix critical errors, but breaks down what worked normally. BFV – is the biggest disappoint this year.

    On December 15th I can't play for longer than around 1 minute or so. It was all fine just yesterday. No matter how I join - main menu or advanced search - all the same. I know you have everything on fire there DICE, but come on...
  • Ok, so I found out that I had been having timeouts only when my GPU was under load (spent several days investigating), tried replacing my PSU to no luck, turned out either GPU or the PSU introduced some interference to my PCI-E Wifi adapter, I had to switch it from auto channel to channel 66 (or 64, don't remember exactly, I'm using a 5 GHz network), after that the problem went away and I was finally able to play BF 5, I had to choose servers manually though, because matchmaking wasn't working, but it was apparently fixed, so I haven't had any problems for about a week now. Thank you to everyone involved.

    P.S. Not sure if it's important but I have network discovery turned on (see screenshot)

  • @EA_Atic are you going to fix the problem with high ping for Russian players? We are still getting packed lose and delay indicators on the right and ping is 130-250 on some servers. What I noticed is, I can play with normal ping (58-63) on German server, then on a new map ping is skyrockets and then on the next map it's Ok again. Fix that already please!
