Re: Cannot rent a server or renew old one.

I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO BYPASS..!!!
1. Be on bf4 menu.
2. Press ps button, then test internet connection.
3. Once internet is tested, go back to bf4.
4. Sign in EA.
5. Go back to rent a server. (Should work now)

Please let me know if that helps..

It's been like a month and it's still not fixed! I wonder what's going on.

Yes, unfortunately we're still investigating and fixing this issue, I'll notify you here when this is done, but thank you a lot again for your solution as it seems to work for some players 🙂

    Hi there,

This 'solution/workaround' didn't work for me!?   (playing on the PS4 platform)

And its start to be really critical as I rent two BF4 servers for a couple of years and they are always populated/full of happy gamers.

And now the rental period is coming to expiry, so I need desperately access to go in to extend the rental period!

I was actually more worried that EA maybe has pulled the plug on BF4?

As now with BF1 out for long (but boring scenario and bad game mechanics, so all players come flocking back to BF4) and now the release of BFV coming soon, they may wanted to 'gently guide' the still large existing BF4 gamer population on to the next thing...….?

As it is right now, the menu choice to rent and create a new server is entirely missing.

And the menu choice to extend the rental period on existing server that you 'own' is not working, as you are not able to go into the submenus of that.

  • You might have to wait till they expire.. Everyone in our milsim group had same issue, but this worked out for us and I keep renting servers weekly.

    Well @Jimmyjames013,

Thx for your suggestion, but sorry being suspicious even about you as you write that you keep renting servers weekly?

If you are into really running servers on an ongoing basis like I am, you always sign up for minimum 3 months rental at a time, so its not like a weekly task at all.

    .

Besides this, I have one of my active servers that have expired now, and its still not possible to extend the rental for that.  So sorry, but it shoots down your 'workaround'.

And I can assure you 100%, this is not how it used to work in the past 5 years when you were renting and/or extending your rental of BF4 servers.

Just tried your solution and it worked like a charm. I am on a PS4 Pro and even changed my PSN ID and it still worked. I currently just rented a new server.
